Yachay Open Science Week 2026 is an interdisciplinary open-science congress bringing together students, researchers, and innovators at Yachay Tech from October 19–24, 2026.
Our goal is to drive open collaboration across disciplines, connecting scientific and technological talent from Ecuador and the region.

The Ideathon runs alongside the congress all week: teams form across majors and schools, and work through mentoring sessions until the closing awards ceremony.

YOSW 2026 takes place at the Universidad Yachay Tech campus, Hacienda Yachay, Urcuquí — Imbabura province, Ecuador; a unique Andean setting where science meets the landscape.

No. YOSW is a free event thanks to the support of Universidad Yachay Tech and its partners. Registration is required for capacity control.
